Because with the season they've had so far, they've earned a second thread! (Also, I got tired of a 200+-post thread.)

Typically paternalism, some man granting women "what they've earned." Down with the Patriarchy!

I was going to comment in the other thread about having some middle-aged white male make unfounded complaints about your seeding...

From the other thread for the late-comers:

Full bracket:

Boston Univ. @ #1 Mercyhurst
Cornell @ #4 Harvard

New Hampshire @ #2 Minnesota-Duluth
Clarkson @ #3 Minnesota

With a win on Saturday Friday night, the ladies can earn a trip to Minneapolis for the FF (March 19th - 21st).

LGR!

(when I posted this, the Cornell women's ice hockey site had the game on Saturday evening).

I was looking to get tickets for the NCAA game and just called the Harvard ticket office. The man I spoke with informed me that the game would be Friday night at 7pm. This is different from what I have read here and on the NCAA website. The game will be Saturday, right?

As the thread got interest, it got excruciatingly long. Thank you. [edit add:] And it continued from the middle not the end.

it is intesting to see a team beat a team head 2 head, win the league and playoff titles and get seeded behind them.. do they use a pwr formula as well? and harvard was 3rd in the league as well..

I was wondering the same thing. Harvard wins RPI and TUC, Cornell wins COp and H2H (but only gets one point 1-0-1). Comparison goes to Harvard.

Similar to the men's side, the TUC comparison hurts. Cornell women 6-8-3 against TUCs.

Fron cornellbirred.com
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The first round game of the NCAA women's hockey tournament between Cornell and Harvard has been moved to Friday, March 12, at 7 p.m. The game will still be played at the Bright Hockey Center in Cambridge, Mass.

The game was initially set to be played on Saturday, March 13, along with the three other first round games in the tournament, but the change of date was requested by Harvard and granted by the NCAA.

Does Andy Noel get credit for any of this? For at least messengering over a case of Labatt's to Vancouver Hockey Place? You build up a heck of a thirst out there on the ice.

From the IJ
A total of 2,574 fans were on hand at Lynah Rink over the weekend for Cornell's two games. On Sunday, 1,528 witnessed Cornell's first league title.
Darn good.

Can you imagine the insanity of a Cornell-Harvard doubleheader if the women's game had been put in Ithaca? With the right advertising I bet the women's game would have been a near sell out.

2-0 after one; shots 10-6 Harvard

Zorn misses on another breakaway
