What was the single most exciting game this decade, any Cornell sport?
We could narrow the field by making it the most exciting game that we won, but that leaves out a lot of my top games.

Boy, this hurts. Has to be the loss to Syracuse last year or the loss to UNH in the 2003 national semis. The win over BC in the QF and the win over Harvard in the 2003 ECAC final come really close.

I'd say the Wisconsin overtime affair is pretty up there.

For games we won, I like the ECAC hockey title game against Harvard that we tied in the final half minute and won in OT 3-2 in 2003 and pay back the Cantabs for the double OT win the year before. That and beating BC in the NCAA quarterfinals to get to the final four.
I'm trying hard to remember the most nail-biting lacrosse game we narrowly won, particularly come-from-behind or Cornell getting the final goal. There was the low-scoring RS game at Princeton 3 (?) years ago where their stud defenseman had his stick head come off in the last 30 seconds. Probably Seibald's one-man effort to win a tie game (RS) in the final 8 seconds in the Carrier Dome. RS can be exciting but losing the game isn't fatal. I can think of lots of one-goal NCAA losses, to Navy, to UMass, to (now I'm getting misty-eyed) Duke.

How about the lax quarterfinal in 2007 against Albany? I won't ever forget Seibald charging down the field with the tomahawk check to jar the ball loose and then have it go back the otherway for the game winner in overtime.

Besides those mentioned I would consider the 2003 NCAA QF 2ot win against BC, and the NCAA 1R come from behind wins over Ohio State (2005), CC (2006) and Northeastern (2009).
But for the Cornell hockey game of the decade I have a dark horse choice. The November 25, 2001 come from behind road win at #5 BU -- the game that announced Cornell had arrived as a legitimate national power.

For me, the happiest I've ever been at a Cornell sporting event this decade was the regional win over BC.
