Cornell climbed back to .500 with a win over LaSalle today, 79-70. A win against an Atlantic 10 school - even one not expected to finish at the top of the conference - is a relief after the thrashings the team has been taking against the BCS conferences. Monday's game at A-10 squad St. Joseph's is likely to be a tougher test.

Coach Donohue was on Philly-Comcast "Daily News Live" before the game. He got a lot of respect from the Philly sportscasters.
He also made a point that he doesn't try to recruit the same players as Penn and Princeton, because he feels those players are not likely to want to come to Ithaca. However, he noted that there are plenty of players who will. He just needs support from the administration (which he says he's getting) to go after them.
He also complimented the Big Five schools (laSalle, St. Joe's) for being willing to come to Ithaca next year...unlike the other name schools we played this year and last.
