In this weekend's ramblings from the Swami he gives advice to high school students seeking the best college match.

The Swami gets serious and advises high school students on college choices...
Each year at this time, the Swami's companion, Miss Bunny Bimbette, the movie star, reads the Swami a small portion of the many fan letters the Swami receives from high school students in the quandary of not knowing where to apply to college. The Swami, an expert on the proclivities of each college lacrosse team, always gives them heartfelt advice.

Bunny : Dear Swami, I want to make a tremendous amount of money when I graduate. I'm not real smart, but like to argue with people and think I might make a good trail lawyer. When I heard how much money John Edwards made suing obstetricians for delivering babies, I thought I would like to be just like him. There's a lot of babies out there. What's the best place to apply?
Swami : Cornell players run behind an ambulance two miles every day.

I am convinced that Swami is a comic genius. Every week he sets out to annoy fans of any school that isn't Navy and every week he succeeds. I thought that ambulance line was hilarious.

No need to get bent out of shape about this or anything else the Swami writes. In this case, the whole ambulance-chasing lawyer thing is part of a long-running joke/tease bit between Swami and Ivyman, a Cornell alumnus. Goes way back -- more than a decade of poking fun at each other along these lines.

Swami has flashes of brilliance. The Cornell referernce was a fair-to-middling putdown with an outsider-looking-in attitude. This one was really good because it didn't moderately amuse (as with the Cornell quip) but probably incited Terp fans to near-violence and had everyone else rolling on the floor:
