The team finally looks like the winning product from the late 90s. Opening game the Big Red shut out the University of Kentucky 2-0, then the next day destroyed IUPUI 4-1. Big Red starts off the season 2-0.

Isn't it kind of unusual for a four-team tournament to determine its winner by round robin (instead of single-elimination, e.g., the Florida College Classic) but not play all six possible games?

The "Colgate Adidas Soccer Classic" coming up next for Cornell has the same format: Play Albany on Friday and Richmond on Sunday, both at Hamilton, regardless of the outcome of the first game. It's a "classic" not a "tournament"?

Some basketball tournaments are beginning to have the same structure.
Anyhow, forgot to mention-- Kentucky received votes in the preseason Top 25 poll, so Cornell's weekend sweep is very impressive. Sure hope these guys can take home an Ivy title.
