9/29/07: football at Georgetown

Who's going? I will probably be there with my kids. I'll also offer my house for emergency accomodations, if anybody's stuck.

I recently heard there will be a band there. I think it's the Marching Band, but there has been pep band trips to non-conference football games in the past.

I'm sure CCW will be planning something, and if not, I will be. Give it two weeks and I'm sure something will be posted here.

I like living close enough to make trips like this Barring some academic crisis (or cross-country to California), I'll be there.

I've heard a DC Alumni group put up the cash to bring the marching band down for the game.

Thanks to my daughter - who decided she'd rather come home than have us attend Parents Weekend at William and Mary - I'll be there. Football had nothing to do with her decision, but I owe here a big one.

From what I've heard lately, Georgetown doesn't allow visiting bands to perform on the field so it seems a full marching band may not be on hand after all and if they are there they won't be on the field. Maybe this stupid rule stems from the equally stupid Big East rule barring visiting bands from basketball games.

I contacted the Georgetown ticket office and they said they are anticipating a sellout so if you are planning to buy tickets on the day of the game get there early.

Kickoff is at 2 pm. I assume we'll be there around 1:30.
