Cornell release
Big Red Football Opens 2007 Fall Camp With Spirited Practice
Cornell opens season with 109 players in camp

ITHACA, N.Y. -- With a month to go before taking the field in the 2007 season opener against Bucknell, the Big Red football team took its first step toward its goal of securing an Ivy League championship.
Cornell hit the field with 109 players in camp, including 34 rookies participating in their first collegiate practice when Coach Jim Knowles’ whistle blew at 4:02 p.m. Moments later he showed the team a large poster of a full Crescent and had them envision bringing the Cornell community its first Ivy League title since 1990.

The new Cornell web site looks better in every way. It would be nice if the story had a datestamp so you know when opening day was.

If someone wants to see a half full Crescent (not even going for a full Crescent), maybe the athletics department should take a basic economics course and figured out something about supply and demand. I wouldnt (regularly) pay $10 for a 1A football game myself, much less if I had a family of 4 and needed tickets for everyone. It looks like you cant get into the Dome for less than $35 these days... so maybe I am behind the times, but if they want attendance to rise lowering ticket prices would be an obvious option with low overall risk. Which would you rather have, 6000 fans at 10/each or 12000 fans at 5/each (the numbers obviously wouldnt break that clean, and there are other costs incurred with bigger crowds in addition to additional potential revenues (merch, parking, concessions, etc)

just my 2 cents
Kevin

There is a date stamp on the article, you just don't see it when you click on it and go into the article. See below:

I think you mean Division I Football Championship Subdivision game contested with at least one championship ineligible team on the field.

2010 and 2011. Cornell's commitment to fledgling programs goes beyond hockey.

Hopefully both schools will have upset victories over Duke basketball at that point. :-D

If I'm in Norfolk in 2011, I'm going. Who's with me? :-P
