I see that 'Cuse is 4-6 with 3 games left. If they lose one more, they're eliminated, right? (Albany coming up on Friday...) Are they a lock at 7-6 because of their schedule?

Right. Go Danes.

Are they a lock at 7-6 because of their schedule?

I'd say no. The 3 categories that count as quality wins against the top 5, 10, 15, 20(?) in RPI, your own RPI, and modified SoS (considering only the 10 strongest teams you've faced).

They currently have only 1 quality win (Georgetown, in the 6-10 bucket), an RPI of 18, and a Modified SoS of #2. So they played a strong schedule, but they mostly lost, all their wins, save Georgetown, are pretty bad teams. And their RPI is nothing very impressive.

However, in order to get to 7-6, they'd have to beat Albany. A win against two top 10 teams would very possibly do it (plus the fact they're named Syracuse).

Being 7-6 because of their schedule? No. Beating 7-6 because they'd have to beat Albany to get there? Seems pretty likely.
