Claudia Goldin ’67, who dreamt of becoming an archaeologist or a microbiologist until she took an economics course at Cornell, won the 2023 Nobel Prize in Economics for her study of women’s progress in the workforce.

Too bad Claudia Goldin's career arc didn't include Cornell in the later stages: Cornell undergrad, Chicago PhD, then prof at Wisconsin, Princeton, Penn (tenured), Harvard (1990).
I believe the last Cornell-affiliated Nobel Prizes came 2018:
James P. Allison, professor of immunology in medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine (2005-06), 2018 Prize in Physiology or Medicine
Arthur Ashkin, '52 Ph.D. Physics, 2018 Prize in Physics

Yeah, but our football team continues to lose and our athletic facilities are subpar. Priorities!
