I thought I read somewhere that he was going to work at an investment bank after graduation.

Most of the Machine player bios list their day jobs.

The season only runs late May to early August, so they're going to need another, flexible source of income, and investment banker sounds good to me.
As another example, Justin Redd [baltimorebayhawks.com] is listed as a special ed teacher.

For what it's worth, the Machine press release says that their #1 and #2 picks, Sean Morris and Michael Culver, would be suiting up today, less than a week after facing each other in the NCAA championship game and the day after being drafted.

I think he had back pain or something. That combined with the fact that it was probably never his dream to spent decades in the ECHL. He's a nice goalie, but thats probably is where he'd be for his career.

Not like ECHL players are paid incredibly well.

Seems the Abbott twins will be going pro in Europe.

[Q] FAIRBORN — The Bombers have signed six players for next season, but they won't be taking delivery on the Abbott twins from Cornell University.

After agreeing to sign, forwards Chris and Cam Abbott last week told GM/coach Don MacAdam they plan to begin their pro careers in Europe rather than the ECHL.

Said a mildly miffed but philosophical MacAdam: "The good news is we're finding out in June as opposed to September or early October."

The Abbotts seemed like a done deal. An announcement heralding their arrival had been sent to season-ticket holders and appeared on the Web site bomberstalk.com.

Does anyone have insight into the Phoenix Coyotes goaltending situation? I was surprised that they signed Mike Morrison (1 yr $500k contract). I don't know the situation very well but it doesn't seem like much of a vote of confidence in LeNeveu. The GM claims that it's primarily a depth move (http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=68937) but we shall see I guess.
