A rare week with no Sunday games, so we can speculate a little earlier about where Cornell will go in the polls.

Mapping points in the USCHO Poll from last week, 11/4, onto subsequent results and current record:

577 DENVER + LW MinnDul; 8-2-0 .800
496 BC + W Merr; 6-0-1 .929
491 UNH + WW Low; 5-1-2 .750
480 MINN + LW Mankato; 5-2-2 .667
417 NODAK + LW SCSU; 7-1-0 .875
386 MICH + WT BGSU; 6-1-1 .813
379 BU + W Merr; 5-1-2 .750
298 CORNELL + WW Yale/Prn; 3-0-0 1.000
288 CC + WW UAA; 8-1-1 .850
250 PROV + LW NU; 8-1-0 .889
190 FERRIS + WL Wayne St.; 8-2-0 .800
115 MSU + LW Niagara; 5-3-0 .625

Cornell shouldn't be passed by anybody except perhaps CC.

OTOH, Cornell was pretty far behind Minn/NoDak/Mich to actually pick up ground there.

I think that CU will therefore either hold at #8 or drop one slot to #9.

I agree with you Greg. NoDak won't be penalized for their loss since SCSU is ranked (#15) and the Sioux had players suspended for that game (fallout from the Yale brawl). the tie won't be held against Michigan too much. Minnesota is way too far "ahead"to worry about and BU won. CC might jump ahead but their games were in Colorado against a (now) 1-5-2 team so they won't get to much credit for that.

yeah but they might get credit for being 8-1-1 and out west :-) sad but true nut

Good call Greg...
