Another problem I have with the rankings. Colgate lost two games to a team ranked 12 spots higher than them and they still drop a lot. Makes no sense.

It's a poll, not a numerical ranking system. Losing two games will almost always hurt you in the rankings unless you're in one privileged upper class and your opponent was too. Colgate is not currently viewed as one of the top teams that gets the benefit of the doubt.

For instance, how is it possible that a guy gets called for making an illegal block in the process of tackling a guy? And why can't I find a comfortable pair of shoes? And why is airplane food so bad?

Unfortunately the rest of the ECAC has also dropped off the face of the earth. Here we go EZAC.

I made it to two game last season and both were ECAC losses...their only two ECAC losses last year where they finished 18-2-2 in the league.
I went to the same two games this year (at Harvard and Dartmouth) and saw them split. Unfortunately, the Dartmouth game was their worst showing of the year. Oh well, I'm glad they're getting the job done now when it counts.

Don't let them scare you. Back in 2003 going in to the playoffs they'd only lost 4 games all year, including the only 3 I'd been able to see. The odds of that happening randomly was only about 1 in 50 but I decided to fly up from Florida to attend the games in Albany anyway. The result there was, of course, rather satisfactory

Yeah, but admit it...you were terrified that you had done it again.

I believe my exact words were "I can't believe F***ing Harvard has F***ing done it to us a F***ing-gain," as the 50ish year old Clarkson fan in front of me was going crazy cheering for the game's third goal.
His reaction to the fourth and fifth goals was, of course, rather satisfactory .
