Jerseys with names

So I read the eLynah FAQ section on game-worn jerseys. I understand that the Teagle issue room removes the nameplates before selling the jerseys. I took a quick look at a few online "Gamework Jerseys" stores, and those seem to also come without nameplates also. I guess that's because at some point they originated in the issue room.

However, at games at Lynah I do see people wearing regular-looking jerseys with both the number and the appropriate name. I am not referring to the "All-Star Flashback" jerseys from last year's auction. Those were a special case where the names were not removed.

What I wonder is how does one get a jersey with a nameplate? Do people just purchase the jerseys from the issue room and then have the nameplate put back on?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

take your jersey to perfect screen printers by wegman's
it costs like $2 or something per letter plus the nameplate and you'll have it in a week or so usually.

As Mike said, Perfect Screen Printers is the place to go. 245 Cherry Steet behind Wegmans [p. (607) 272-0099]. They do all the lettering on the team jerseys and will do it for you as well. IIRC, the nameplate is $5 and the name a $2 a letter or something like that.

At the risk of sounding really anal-retentive.... If/when you go to PSP to get a nameplate, make sure they use the proper font for lettering. While I was at Cornell (2000-03) the team used a sans serif type, but I often saw game-worn jerseys in the stands that had been lettered with serif type. I brought a picture of the player to PSP with the nameplate visible so I could show them exactly what I wanted. I assume the team is still using the sans serif font this season. The serif-type-recreated nameplates always were a small pet peeve of mine. Just my two cents.

Great, my stupid jerseys are wrong. *sigh*

Not surprising, though, since PSP brought us the infamous "Big Red Wings" jerseys. :-(
