I'll be at Yale, and I'm willing to help trying out the New PK Chant (tm) on the road.

I probably won't make it to Brown.

Who else?

I've got a date for Yale with Al DeFlorio. Our spouses, too.

Don't know how effective any cheer will be given the acoustics of Ingalls Rink. The inside of a Waring Blender has better sound shaping.

A cowbell is always effective.

My housemates and I really really want to go to these games. But we're lazy procrastinating college students and we haven't bought the tickets yet. I checked last week and the athletic ticket office said that these games were sold out (at least from Cornell side). Could anyone please kindly help us find some tickets? I heard somewhere that these schools aren't really into their hockey teams, so the tickets might be available at the gate ('cos the games won't be sold out). Is this true?

oat,

brown should have PLENTY of tix remaining. call up their office. they have been more than happy to sell to non-brown kids in the past. they never get any fans except some onboxious 11 year olds (anyone who has been there in the past 3 years can back me up on that).

I've never had a problem getting a ticket for the Brown game five minutes before opening face-off.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Yale game is sold out. Full houses are not uncommon at Ingalls. There may still be standing room tickets available via the Yale ticket office.

As Beeeej points out, there's no reason to worry about getting tickets at Brown. But if you want to be sure, just call the Brown ticket office. It took just four clicks for me to find the phone number: (401) 863-2773.

I'll be 95ing it down for Brown and am bringing a Brownie friend. Not surprisingly, this will be her first ever hockey game at Meehan during her 5 years there.

Not me. One weekend: manageable tension. Two straight weekends: domestic global thermonuclear war.

[/q]Difficult as I found this to believe, I have a classmate who claims that during his undergrad at Brown, he was actually a hockey fan. I guess they do exist after all.

I'll be at Brown for sure and possibly Yale.

According to the ticket office recording, Yale will have 200 reserved tickets available before the game (starting at 6:00), plus standing room.

I just have to perfect the mannequin that will sit at my desk and pretend to work on Friday afternoon, and I'm all set.

Not so sure I'll be at Yale anymore... I spent yesterday sick and today sicker, so unless I get a miraculously good night's sleep, it wouldn't be smart for me to go tomorrow. But I'll probably put off the decision until the last possible moment - and living as close as I do to Grand Central, that's pretty late. :-)
