I am suprised to see msu didnt move up because they tied the "#1" team. Michigan is overrated. They got dominated by msu and were lucky and i mean lucky to tie. You will not see them in the top ten half way through the year. If Cornell can sweep msu this weekend (which will be very tough because msu is underrated, their better then 3/4 of the teams ahead of them) cornell will move into first no question.

Cant wait for this weekend

Lynah will be rockin

I almost wish that we didn't play for another month, just to see if we could make it to #1 without playing a D-I game.

Almost.

Let's Go Red! Earn the early dalmatian!

Excuse me? Did you see the Michigan-MSU game? If you did, your analysis is clearly based exclusively on shots on goal. I actually was in attendance at that game and let me tell you, Michigan did not "get dominated by MSU." MSU took a boatload of garbage shots from the blueline, none of which were good and did not cycle the puck. MSU also let in two powerplay goals and failed to score on all of their powerplays including a 5X3 that lasted for 1:45 followed by 3:15 of 5X4. Their PP was just plain awful and Vicari was the reason that they came out with a tie. Overall, both teams had a lot of solid scoring chances due to sloppy turnovers but neither team really capitalized on them.

That said. I'm looking for a good series this weekend, should be an interesting one.

Why bother using the <pre> tag if you don't line up the columns?

'cause they columns were always lined up for me in the past when I cut and paste the poll - so it didn't occur to me that they no longer would be.

Ah, but USCHO is no longer using the <pre> tag themselves. Didn't this occur to you when you noticed that they finally have linked team names on the poll page? What's wrong with you?!?!? :-D

Bah! This is silly. We should not be ranked #2. I mean, it's lovely and all, but I don't like us skating around with a big bull's eye on our backs.

Here's hoping that our guys step it up about 5 notches from the exhibition game, and that MSU takes many many crappy shots from the blueline.

Let's Go Red!

No one really knows how this season will play out so it's all based on expectations. Pointless, but good for the reputation.

Anything which, when recruiting, you can point to as a mark of a great program is not pointless.

Although it is still possible to use an <a> tag inside a <pre> tag; it's just that hardly anyone does it.
