Thoughts on the game?

Now that Fitzpatrick and his Wonderlic are gone, do we have a realistic shot? I read somewhere that Penn & Sucks' recent record against the Ivies is some ridiculous # like 75-3 twitch

From the looks of things at Yale, if Harvard has any semblance of a passing game and can put 8 or 9 guys in the box to stop Cornell's rushing offense, they'll win by at least two scores.

It'll be interesting to see how Knowles mixes the QB's this week to strike a balance on offense.

The good news is Cornell is due for another blocked kick this week! Just think back to '99 and '00 against Harvard...

The audio cast is up and sounds like film being fed through a spool.

This would be a monumental upset. The name of the game is to try to convert every chance we get, as there won't be many.

Well the Red get a few breaks to start and a pick on third down. Touchdown RED on the first play! Of course cornell gets hit with a personal foul after the play. 7-0 very early.

From the look of the live view and the weather radar, it looks rather wet. Anyone care to comment on the weather's effect on the game thus far?

I realize the press box is on the visitors' side of the field, but could WHCU find a better place to put their crowd mike than in the middle of the asshole Harvard fans?

Well, so far there have been something like 3 fumbles lost and 5 passes intercepted.

4th and goal for Cornell inside the Hvd 3; I guess they'll go with Weitsman.

Weitsman 21 FG. 20-0, 12:34 remaining in regulation.

The right move, but a TD would have made it a really low-odds comeback.

Around the league, all scores in the second half:

Columbia staying in it at Lafayette, 7-14.
Princeton in a think a mild upset at home v Colgate, 3-13.
Brown blowing out Fordham, 24-14.
Bad day for Dartmouth, shut out at Yale by 13.

Penn hosts Bucknell later.

Kuhn fakes to Siwula and carries in it from the 6 on the option! Weitsman with the kick, 27-7.

I have to say I'm just stunned by what's happened this afternoon--having sat through the game at the Yale Bowl.

It's like night and day at home and on the road with this team. They were picked apart by yale and today they look like the team carrying the 9 game ivy win streak.

Hvd successful on onside kick. 52 seconds to go.

27-13

Just for good measure there's the blocked kick for the afternoon. 52 seconds to go... H recovers the onside kick ... then commits a personal foul. H ball, long way to go down two scores.

Didn't know that. Okay, then it's pointless to rank Ivies in said poll.

I have no doubt that Cornell would easily beat Harvard in a "know off."*

How's this one from the men's soccer article: "After jumping out to a 2-0 lead, Harvard came back to tie the game..."

Note when one goes to the Cantabs' athletics site, the first tab you see is "Make a Gift." Trying to pad out their $25 billion to $3 billion endowments lead?

Not that Cornell has suffered in his absence, but what the hell happened to RB Andre Hardaway? Did I miss something? Wasn't he supposed to be a major part of Cornell's running game as a senior? His name isn't even on the roster.

Best as I can tell he was injured--or recovering from surgery?--and missed the Bucknell opener, played briefly (one carry) against Yale, and then disappeared without further explanation. Andre was a monster against Harvard last year. Perhaps the injury/surgery did him in?

Just read in today's (October 28) Daily Sun that running back Josh Johnston quit the team on Wednesday.
