There's a front-page story about Lynah's fish tradition at [www.uscho.com].

from that page...
"The only thing that went wrong for the Red all night was when Manocchia —Lynah's reigning "Cowbell Guy" — dropped the miniature bat he uses to create the cowbell cadence, right in the middle of his "performance." "
doh! sorry, age
that was a good article. but wasnt the chicken tied to the Cornell goal post at Lynah East and not Lynah?

If its any consolation, it wasn't even noticeable by the majority of the fans. We just kept clapping. Tho now that i think about it, this might sound more like than insult than anyting else. Nothing negative intended Age. We all rely on you and you always pull through. Great Job!

was this why we got the cowbell during two consecutive stoppages? it seemed kinda odd at the time.
also, is it just me or are people in lynah more badly out of sync than usual? B's usually done well with keeping time with the pep band but lately it seems as if all the freshman around us will just go at their own speed which is faster than the pep band.

If you're speaking of keeping time with the fight song after we score, I believe part of the problem can be attributed to whatever idiot has decided he should be blowing a big, plastic horn while the band is playing "Davy." It makes it harder to hear the song and keep in time with it (though I will also say it's partly that the Faithful are simply a little louder this year than they've been in a while).

No, I was over in section A doing it this weekend for the CD and the time I did it twice, I completely boned it the first time and planned on doing it again at the next stoppage.

Actually, the chicken was tied in the next at Lynah. It was a tradition within one frat (can't remember which one). From what I remember, it was tied in the Harvard net before the start of the third period.
And then there was the large phallic symbol that somebody brought into Lynah at the Harvard game in the '78-'79 season - pretty crazy!
LGR!!
