Underhill and Murray were both named East First Team All-Americans. Other ECAC representatives included Mark Cavosie on the First Team, and Yann Danis and Matt Murley on the Second Team.
Congrats to all honorees... But especially to Matt and Doug, Cornell's first AA selections since Parris Duffus was selected 10 years ago.

That's terrific news! Several times over the past couple seasons, I'd pass the display behind Section E in Lynah that has many of our All-American certificates, and wish that we could get more. Same when I saw a similar display at Cheel with some very recent recipients for Clarkson. Considering that we haven't had any since I started following CU hockey, I'm really happy.
Congratulations to Matt and Doug. Well deserved.

I couldn't remember whether they still had East and West teams (largely beause we haven't had one in so long). With four sets of All Americans (two teams for east and two for west), Murray was a no-brainer for 1st team in the east. Would've been interesting if he'd have been 1st or 2nd team without the regions - there were 3 Hobey Finalist D-men. As for Underhill, I wasn't necessarily thinking about it, though probably I should've been - after all, he is a senior with one of the top stat lines in the nation. Glad the fact that he split time with LeNeveu didn't hurt him for this.
I've got to say that I love this kind of regionalism in college hockey, even though I wish the teams would play each other in the tournament.

Having two first-teamers in a season is really something. First time for us since Dadswell and Nieuwendyk in 1986 (when five of the six East A-A's were ECAC), I'm pretty sure.
Congrats, guys!
