Wow. 50k already? Way to go Age! Nice forum, BTW. I'm still waiting for the next poll.

How about "What should Jacob's prize be for being visitor #50,000?"
Next poll

Does that mean the ECAC site poll idea was not inspiring?

How about "Will Dougie Return?"
Might help refocus that other thread.

I tend to hate polls that are purely based on speculation with no regard to opinion or facts. I also don't see why this is still being debated (or ever started), to be honest.
ie, a proper poll along those lines would be "Should Doug return", but that would be horribly one-sided and uninspirational.

how about "what should we do to ensure that dougie returns?"
a) hand-cuff him to coach for the next 7 months
b) cut of his feet and put 'em on ice till the season starts
c) keep him drugged in age's room till the red/white game
d) beg and plead and bombard him with pathetic e-mails
you get the point. other ideas are welcome. mine are rather unoriginal

If anybody actually e-mailed Murray (or any player, for that matter) about an issue like this, I think I might have to vomit. He's a grown man, and he'll make his own decision (for better or worse).

I'm guessing that option (b) would render Doug considerably less effective next year (although probably not much slower )

I wasn't talking about anybody in particular. I was just making a blanket statement about groupie-type behaviors, that's all.
My response was also meant to be funny (I was going to say, "...vomit in my own mouth," but I didn't want to be accused of copying Bill Simmons). Perhaps the moral is this: not every comment requires a personal response. That's just a blanket statement, of course (and one which is clearly not heeded in this post, but such is life).

No need. We'll play Macho Man and shut both of them up.

Actually, I have no problems with Macho Man. Its funny to watch people making fools of themselves!
sandbox time for the band. . .

. . .are we going to have to institute a mandatory double minor for the entire band if they keep playing that song. . .4 minutes in the sandbox might just do the trick!!!

Well someone could have come up with a more exciting poll than the current poll: who is your favorite college hockey team? After all, the site is called Elynah Forum, I'd think most of the people that post here would be Cornell fans, well with the occaisional exception of people like my Uncle

Well...we could have a poll on whether we think Schafer or Rand Pecknold of Quinnipiac should win the Penrose award.

It was mostly for my edification. I was trying to find out just how many other school fans were reading this.

I hope I won't hurt Mike's feelings by saying that Rand Pecknold is better looking.
