Alumni

So is there any word on who is playing in this year's alumni game? Now with Joe in jerseyi expect he will at least be around. I know he has trained in the offseason at the fieldhouse, and i think he now has a summer home just outside of town.

Just wondering if Chartrand, JMP (not really an alum is he?), or Elliot might be back for a little fun.

most came back last year and [from what i could gather last summer] a lot come back quite regularly... am not sure about Dryden anymore tho (even just to watch)

Joe, Brad, and JMP all played last year. Also Steve Wilson, Mike Schafer, Chris Grenier, and many others.

Attendance will depend to some degree on which past teams are being "honored" this summer. In 2000 it was the 1967 and 1970 teams (hence Ned, Ken, and many others from the Harkness era were at the game); last year it was 1986 and 1996. Sorry, but I forget this summer's "honorees."

ok. i know that this was posted on another thread but when i went back to search for it i couldn't find it. what was the exact date for the alumni game? (june12?) I hope to make it to Ithaca for the game. last year it was kinda fun (and a great excuse to meet up with people!).

Plus, Ithaca is so DAMN pretty in the summer!

A post on the Red vs. White thread says that "The alumni game is July 12."

The March issue of Faceoff! (the newsletter for the Cornell Hockey Association) does not give a date for this event, but it does state that the Awards banquet will be Friday, April 12, in case anyone is interested.
