With so many choices for obtaining the score in real time (being in person, IRC chat, Gametracker, livestats, video feed), posting to the forum has become the non-preferred method.
On that note...

Probably the worst period imaginable for the webcast to crater.

What! Four goals? Yale #13 had a breakaway late in the first or early in the second, it was scoreless, the screen froze, and now it's 4-0 Cornell? Sheesh.

If you start the thread, aren't you obligated to change the subject line after every goal? <g>

Wow! I went away for about 5 minutes and the score went from 0-0 to 5-0! Didn't seem like a great night for Cornell, but they really blew things open abruptly.

In one of the few complete sentences audible on tonight's broadcast, one of the announcers commented after the first goal: "When you have a hot goaltender like Modelski, the first goal can sometimes open the floodgates." Yikes, how prescient?

That was exciting: Watching the video feed freeze on a 53" TV while playing the audio-only feed on a second system and paying a second five bucks for the audio.
About the game's outcome: Maybe we're spoiled. It feels as if we fell apart, allowing two goals in the third period and two goals total, hurting the team's defensive standing overall and McKee's goals against average, now needing a shutout against Princeton to get McKee's average back around 1.20. Does it feel good to get more than five goals again or does it just feel like, "We were due"?
Still: First 10 games, 13 goals allowed, 1.3GAA, no more than 2 goals in any game. Lot of other teams would kill for that defense. And with six goals score, Cornell jumps back up from #19 almost into the top ten in offense, 3.6G/gm (now surpassing Princeton).
Maybe I missed a bit of the action, but we were 2x6 on power plays (excellent) and allowed 1x6 (excellent for anyone but Cornell)?
5-0 against Princeton would be nice Saturday. McKee (Cornell too) deserves more than 2 shutouts out of a 1.3GAA in his first 10/11 games.

best individual performance for any cornell player since Vesce at Princeton last year by Hynes tonight. was totally dominant every time he was on the ice. bitz also played well as did Downs.

Hey Avash, congrats on your first(?) USCHO recap! It's nice to have more than just a glorified box score to read
