McGill beat Yale tonight, 3-2. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but still, thought I'd mention it...

Keep in mind that I don't think anyone reputable is predicting Yale to do well in the ECACHL this year. I'm not saying that should mean anything for us. I'm just saying, keep that in mind.

Surprisingly (to me anyway), there are about 200 tickets still available for tonight's game.

I'm still not that concerned. They are in the middle of the pack in Canadian College Hockey, which is hardly a hockey hotbed.

Didn't Yale also lose to the US Under-18 team last year? (Granted that was last year, but still...)

They just went on sale this morning, so that's probably why.

Is that the number of seats available on a per game basis for all home games? (Maybe it's slightly higher than normal since it likely includes a number of give-backs from McGill in section O and maybe more player tickets than usual)

I'd almost rather we lost a meaningless exhibition. Get rid of any vestiges of overconfidence going into the Army game.

In any case, here's hoping for NO INJURIES.

I think the place is going to be a little empty of students also b/c of the John Cleese show tonight and the fact that its only exhibition. Hopefully we can still get the place rocking though.

We are required to reserve 100 visitor seats for league games. Unsold visitor tickets go on sale Friday morning.

As of this morning there were about a dozen unsold season tickets in section G. They were all sold today.

Mathieu Leclerc is eating Iggulden's lunch on faceoffs.

I think the power-play "shot" numbers refer to all shots, not just shots on goal. McGill has six shots on their power-plays, but only three shots-on-goal.

SLU 1-0 over Maine after one. Shots 11-10 Maine.

Western Ontario 1-0 over Dartmouth midway through period one. Shots 6-6.

Bowling Green 2-0 over Union after one. Shots 13-8 Union.

NIA, whatever that is, leading Vermont 3-0 early in the second.

Cornell's Gametracker seems more dead than live. Stuck at early in the second.

Dunno, but he lost it during a McGill power-play. Do we have a center with a similar number?

Having made the trip from New Haven to Ithaca more times than I care to remember, I suspect taking that bus ride today didn't help McGill...along with playing a close game last night. Still, a solid opening performance for the good guys.

And great to see two goals from a frosh who, at least in the line-ups, appeared to be centering the "big" line (Hynes and Moulson). Another pint-sized "giant" to replace the one we lost to graduation?

Empty net for Maine. Still 1-0 SLU. Does this one count for the Commissioners' Cup? nut

Edit: It's over. SLU holds on. Last ten (or maybe twelve) shots-on-goal for Maine.

Hynes could be an absolutely dominant player. He seems SO close, but not quite there yet. I think the guy could be a regular in the NHL.
