Well, it could mean AHA survives once UConn, Quinnipiac, Mercyhurst and Holy Cross all jump ship.

[q]The presence of Navy among the ranks of D-I, could also bolster the chances for a Frozen Four bid in Washington, D.C.[/q]

What what What?! twitch

I guess if they exile the Fz4 to Anaheim then anything is possible, but this seems like a remote possibility to me. It's hard enough getting interest in the NHL here (insert joke about the Caps not being NHL...)

So Navy wants to go D-I? Didn't Penn give up D-I hockey in the late 1970s because it was so hard to recruit talent the farther south your school was? I mean, it's not like you're going to get good hockey players from, say, Texas.

Penn dropped hockey because of largely financial reasons, not recruiting.

Texas? well...Brian Leetch was born in Corpus Christi...:-D

Yes, but he was raised and lived during his formative hockey years... in Cheshire, Ct... and brought the Stanley Cup to the Cheshire library when the Rangers won in '94... bugs me everytime his "hometown" is listed as Corpus Christi... not fair!! ;)
