I don't know if this has been posted anywhere, but it looks like we have a new recruit for next year. And he's a 6'5" 220-lb defenseman, so I think that might cancel out Topher Scott a little. I couldnt find a profile on his team page, but it's interesting to note that other alums from his team (Notre Dame of the SJHL) include LeCavalier, Brind'Amour, CuJo, and our own Kent Manderville.

It's been talked about on the lengthy Recruiting Update thread.

I don't think we're aiming to "cancel" Scott. He sounds like the sort of darting mite who can annoy and... gasp... maybe score a short handed goal sometime in the next 4.5 calendar years. ;-)

There is a search feature, ya know (and yes, it works).

How will we cheer for this one? "Goal assisted by Sasha Grenier-Pokulok" "Grenier-Pokulok!!!" It'll take a while to sink in, and harder to keep going than "Horn-by Horn-by"

Has anyone figured out if there's a connection with Chris Grenier? Sasha is...ah...more than a tad bigger, IIRC.

It'll be like trying to chant "Varteressian" (as has already been tried... :-P )

I think Varteressian works in a ba-ba bababa cadence. As long as you say Grenier in two beats it should work too. Or you could just stick to Sasha...

I think chanting "S-G-P' would be kinda cool, as long as he likes his initials being said like that.

Without trying to screw up historical chants, maybe we can say Puck-a-luck instead of Fuck 'em up.

Puck-a-luck, Pokulok, go CU!
