Since I can't get to the game tonight and need to root from home, thought I'd ask how the quality has been on the prior two broadcasts? Anyone watched via DSL or anything slower than cable with success?

I watch on DSL. It gets choppy occassionally, but the quality has generally been decent. It can be a little hard to follow the puck without following the motion of the players.

No complaints, though, because the audio is problem free and I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I can never folow the puck anyway. Gosh how I loved that corny glowing puck from FOX's first attempts NHL broadcasting. :`(

from a cable modem, I have had no problems. Make sure you turn acceleration down in WMP:
tools-->options-->performance tab-->"video acceleration"

turn it down to the middle setting or to none if you continue to have buffer problems.

The webcam plays at 240k/sec so it's a little grainy but the audio is clear.

this link will open the webcast directly in WMP:

I've learned to watch hockey not by watching the puck but by watching the body position and movements of the players. I think that tells you more easily were the puck is than actually trying to follow the little black dot.

Thanks for the reminder about acceleration.

Yeah, I've learned that about following the action and not the puck, but even still, sometimes you want to know where the puck is. Last night from behind Clarkson Sucks bench I missed everything--puck and players--in the near corners. Plus I had to watch the smirk on Nickerson's face every time he came off the ice. The whole team was wearing eye black, I guess in tribute to their "bruised" comrade.

I watched last night on 1.5Mbps DSL with no problems....and I apparently had the acceleration set to full.

I tried turning down my acceleration last night as you suggested and it didn't seem to help. What does the acceleration setting do?

Is anyone by chance recording the video feed of tonight's game? It might turn out to be a classic.
