I found it disappointing that CCSN decided to show the Harvard-Brown matchup, at the Meehan Moratorium.
Having the Clarkson-Cornell game broadcast from a sold out high powered Lynah Rink would have been a better showcase of ECAC hockey, but whatever. I guess they had to accomodate New England...Unfortunate that Yale didn't beat SLU, we more than likely would've gotten the call from CCSN.

Maybe they looked for the largest markets, not understanding that fan base and market don't correlate in this case.

Is there a way to email them with our feedback?

I've exchanged several e-mails with Kristy over the past week and a half. The most recent was this one sent 24 hours ago:
[Q]Kristy,
Thanks for your reply and I've seen your new release. Unfortunately it does not help any of us outside the northeast. I urge the ECAC to try to work out something for the Friday night March 19 semi-final with a station carried by satellite nationally, such as Empire Sports, YES, Fox Sports New England, MSG etc. Please pass this on to who negotiate those things. Thanks. [/Q]
Perhaps it's time for me to e-mail Phil. Best I know now, semi #1 will be on Empire and the final on CSTV.
I'd love to go to Albany but logistically it's a nightmare as I'm flying back from Europe to Chicago that morning, and leaving for Europe before game 3 (if necessary) of the quarter-finals.

According to that article on uscho, be forewarned: he probably won't return your emails/calls.

It might be more effective to write the Cornell Athletic Dept. and hockey program to complain about how poorly the league is run and suggest that the school try to make changes. Of course, they're likely to ignore you too. But it couldn't hurt.
Note: don't write Schafer at this point - he has more important things to worry about than TV contracts (at least until April).

I e-mailed Phil right after my last post, and received the following reply. Unfortunately, there is nothing new in it, as I've already e-mailed Empire and received their schedule, which I posted on the original thread on ECAC TV, titled "ECAC TV?".
[Q]Jeff:
Thank you for your email. We will be announcing this week a relationship
with Empire Sports Network and CSTV (men's championship only) that will
allow Directv viewers to watch ECAC Hockey men's and women's semifinal and
championship action.
Check your listing for live and delayed coverage throughout the weekend of
March 19-21.

Steve Hagwell = shagwell@ecac.org
That's an unfortunate concatenation. It sounds like an Austin Powers joke.
