I am hugely in favor of continuing this tradition. If your female friends want to continue this practice at the postseason games, that'd be great. In fact, they can rope in some other girls to spell out longer phrases. Like, maybe..."Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute sucks!"

A friend and I were part of a co-ed "Go Red" back in the day (ok, the '99-00 season), both at the Lynah playoffs and in Lake Plastered. During the Stanley Cup celebration at Dunbars this past year, an older (than I, he was late 40's-50's, maybe? It was dark.) gentleman came up to me and said, "I just wanted to tell you, my friends and I remember you from Lake Placid. It was wonderful. Can I buy you a drink?" He made it very clear that he wasn't hitting on me, that he just wanted to buy me a drink in gratitude, which I appreciated.
I said to him, "Are you sure you're talking to the right person? The last time I went to Placid I was a freshman, and I just graduated."
"Oh yes," he replied, "I couldn't forget. I remember it like it was yesterday. My friends and I think the Cornell hockey team is very lucky to have fans like you."
Indeed.
I hope that the painted chicks in sports bras tradition in Lynah continues, but ladies, when I was your age, we took our over shirts off and braved the cold. In a way, I see it as a kind of gender equality, a way that women can be the same sports crazed maniacs as men are. Except that when we put our shirts back on and head to the bar, someone is usually willing to pick up our tab. C'est la vie.

Hey, I like your moniker. Basically what's happened to the opponents after a mauling by Cornell: "gored".

Well it looks like the Go Red Girls will be back for the March 12th game. But due to some prior engagements, the saturday game might be a little short. But I'm sure they will come up with something.

Kate's doing juuuuuuuuust fine for herself...
And not to feed the trolls, but why does a woman painting herself at a hockey game ostensibly to show support for the sport she loves automatically mean she's after the guys playing said sport? That's a pretty double fucking standard if you ask me. Would you make different assumptions if the women were small breasted? Fat? MALE???? Yeah. And for the record, those of us involved in the great painting of 2000 were both quite attached and intended to stay that way.
God I hate stupid people.

...because she lived by herself her senior year and didn't want creepy guys showing up on her doorstep at 3 a.m. Since "Kate McDowell" doesn't show up in the CU directory, using her middle name was a surprisingly effective deterrent in this instance.

Very impressive display of school spirit. I think if you made the lettering bolder still it would show up even better on TV or in Sports Illustrated. Is there a small Cornell Big Red Bear decal you could apply, too? You don't want someone to think it's Nebraska Big Red. Think "branding" - Madison Avenue branding, not Ag School that doesn't come off.

Maybe Ezra would have to rephrase: "I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in every perversion."

Just the chin. But the I can take credit for the sign idea. (The other side read "DOV IS A SIV".)

I'd imagine neither, although they do see the paper version of the Sun.

Granted, it's hundreds of copies crumpled into balls and thrown on the ice when they see it.

Just had to drag this back up because you can never have enough pictures of scanitly clad female hockey fans.
If the women there are drunk enough to forget which team they are rooting for then count me in for a trip to Madison, though the first two are kind of ugly.
