I'm not sure what the limit on how many you can get is, but I know you can buy individual tickets. The real question is, why would you want to buy individual tickets, when you can buy them all and see the Red atleast 2 nights!! Go Red

There is no limit on number of tickets if you are buying the general public ticket offering on March 4.

You can buy tickets for one, two or three nights (if there is no 3rd game they give you a month to come back & get a ticket refund)(if there is a 3rd game & you've only bought 2, you need to come back on line for Sunday tix & see what's left)

Anyone have any idea how busy/crowded/crazy it might be when tix go on sale to the general public on 3/4? Are we thinking crowds camping out overnite, or more like get into line a coupla hours early?

Any advice from those who've been thru the process before?

thnx! LGR!!

Yes. Unless you are absolutely strapped for cash, buy the 3rd night up front. Waiting to see before buying the 3rd night's ticket just isn't worth the trouble.

Also, if you think you might want to go, but aren't sure, buy the tickets anyway. You will be assured that someone will buy them at face value if you decide not to go.

As far as camping out for playoff tickets goes, it depends on the opponent and the year. Two years ago when we played Harvard (SUCKS) in the playoffs, we got there at 5pm the night before the tickets went on sale and we were 5th in line. The line was pretty long that night. (But I think the weather was kinda like what's happening right now (50's)). But last year when we played Princeton, we got there around 6am the day of the sale and we were second.

I think this year it might be in between because the team has been doing better, but we definitely won't see Harvard in the first round. That being said, I won't be in line this year cause I got the season tickets already having waited the requisite day and a half in line.

When should you get in line?

Neither of the QF games last year came close to sellnig out. Game 1 was around 2700, while game 2 was just over 3000 (the rink holds 3836). The Harvard QFs in 2000 sold out. In '97 (Harvard also) and '96 (the Weder games) the second game sold out while the first was a couple hundred short.
What does this all mean? It seems likely to me that this year's playoffs will not sell out. We'll probably play someone like Princeton again, which will not draw a big crowd like Harvard would. So there's probably no need to get in line particularly early. But if you want to go ahead...

Keep in mind that last season home ice wasn't a sure thing until the last game. This season announcements about playoff tickets were made at the last two home games, so there may be more demand. Either way, I doubt that the tickets will sell out before mid to late afternoon on day that they go on sale to those without season tickets, if the games sell out at all. In fact, I know several people who have gotten day of game tickets to most of the games this season, so unless we're playing a team with fans that travel well you might even be able to get in that way.

yes but also...
i think advertising some how would help. a lot of underclassmen think that getting tix is impossible for the playoff games. enlightening them might be a good thing! twitch
