ANNOUNCEMENT: New Server And Donations...

Well, I didn't want to have to resort to this, but I was forced to move the eLynah sites off campus, and with that came rather hefty monthly costs. The upside is everything is faster. The downside is I'm going to start begging.
We'll try it this way first. I'm going to add a PayPal link at the bottom of the menubar. I know many of you offered to make donations in the past, but when it didn't really cost me anything, I didn't want to take them. Well, now the situation is obviously very different. Any contribution would be very appreciated.
If this does not work, I may be forced to turn eLynah into a subscription service of some type, though I really don't want it to come to that. Should that happen, however, any voluntary donations made would certainly be applied to subscription fees.

Any idea on the likely monthly out-of-pocket costs?

$200 a month if it stays under 700GB/month (which it should). Though I don't expect to recover all of that through donations.

age,
any chance you could turn this into a ".org" ?
not sure how much that would help but then people could write off donations and maybe you could get support money from somewhere

I don't think just changing the domain name would qualify me as a charity...

Age, how 'bout telling us again how to kick in toward covering the cost.

Just click the PayPal link to the left at the bottom of the menubar. Or if you prefer snail mail, e-mail me at age@salsashark.net and I can give you the address. Thanks.
