Preseason polls?

I'm tired of all the anger and sadness brought about by this past weekend. Just for a minute, I'll change the topic a bit. Anyone know when the preseason polls for the ECAC and NCAA come out?

I don't get it.

Ok, I'm wasting some time and coming up with my ECAC prediction. I think this was done on the USCHO boards some time ago, but I couldn't find the thread.

I was going to make a joke regarding the probability of a reader understanding John's posted picture being dependant on your age, but I think I'm younger than big red apple. Que sera sera.

There aren't enough people left on hockey-l for presentation of the Ceramic Dalmation. No point in giving it to someone on the USCHO message board, unless I get to virtually bash a troll with it.

I finally managed to find an old copy of the HOCKEY-L FAQ (which used to be available by gopher, but no one ever actually mailed the whole thing to the list, so it's not in the archive):

Actually, I suspect there's a correlation between having got the reference and ever having used gopher.

These days, it seems Hockey-L exists only to allow certain individuals to blame the Ivy League for all the problems in the world.

Oh, I know for a fact that the polls mean nothing, but I'm curious as to what the pundits and coaches think. After all, what the coaches believe will gauge how they guide their players into playing against their opponents.

But Rich, wouldn't the world be a better place if the RPI were allowed to join the Ivy League?

Kind of disturbing that Harvard isn't in there as a token ECAC pick. I guess it shows how far the league has fallen since a few years ago, when the ECAC at least had the #10 team in everybody's poll on general principles.

Y'know, I did sort of wonder why there were 12 teams on the list rather than 10. It was sort of like Michigan, Michigan State, Something State, yadda yadda yadda, no ECAC teams...

Poor Lake State. Not only last in both polls, but waaaaaaaaaaay last.
