Just win, baby.

Last weekend, Mack was reinjured on his second shift returning from injury. Kovich was injured, had the emergency surgery, and is out at least 6 weeks.

Mosko is the extra skater tonight with Donaldson taking a regular spot on the Devlin checking line with Wallace.

That is 100% a goal that won’t be called a goal because it’s impossible to literally see it over the line.

Yeah, unfortunately the only person who could see it cross the line is that Q guy who swept it out.

The one guy whom they have in the booth (the student player) this period is at least knowledgeable about goaltending but the PBP guy is something

I think regardless of this game's result we see Koepple tomorrow
Cornell should play the goalie that gives them their best chance to win. Why would that be Koepple?

Power play really misses Malinski. Captain obvious. The skill level at the points just isn’t there yet. Koepple has been meh as has Shane for the last three games. Tough call.

You have no idea why Shane didn't look good in the first. (And neither do the rest of us.)

Is he sick? Is his head messed up? Why do you think you can coach while watching the game on ESPN+?

hard to see a replay from a different state.. Who decided to put the camera that far up that its useful except for goalie interference calls..

I don't think Koepple has looked that bad given what he's had to face since coming in. And as far as Shane goes, I wasn't just thinking about this game but the two last weekend. Maybe we see him in net at Princeton tomorrow but if Schafer decided to go with Koepple, it wouldn't be particularly groundbreaking or surprising.

Huh? All evidence points to Shane being the #1 goaltender. Shouldn’t the burden of proof should be on the person arguing for the #1 goalie to be benched?

the first 10 Min we were chasing all over the ice.

the last 30 much better other than allowing the full ice break away

We score on ours and 1 of the PP and its a ball game.

We might score 6 and lose and thats the surpise.

Koepple also only plays - barring an injury to Shane - when the team is down. That is a tough mental game to play.

??????

Shane has started almost every single game the last two years. You don’t need to watch one single game to know Shane is the #1. Never mind that Koeppel has looked shaky when he’s played. Koeppel might be a good goalie, but what evidence is there to support that he is better than Shane? If he’s not better than Shane, then why should he start in front of Shane?

The good news is that this team has some skilled forwards who can score. The bad news is that the defense may be a problem during the season against better teams, of which the poor PP is a symptom. Still a lot of season left and there are many young guys on the team but this game should've been closer even with Q clearly having more speed and overall talent

Our power play still seems to be run as if we get awarded a goal if we get the puck to that center bumper slot position.

Parking a guy in the center slot just lets the defense crowd around him and block shots from the point.

Need more movement away from the puck and more high low. Send someone behind the net, get the puck down there. Less of everyone standing around.

You can tell that this year’s team is going to be so much fun at times and utterly exasperating at others, but I’m along for the ride. Let’s come out strong tomorrow with a W and a strong defensive preformance.

Yup. High highs and low lows, with a very bright looking future.

Overall a brutal performance defensively and some soft soft goals.

Worst part is Cornell looked like a better team for a decent part of the game then would just give up a terrible goal or leave someone wide open back door. Uncharacteristic plays in my opinion

Quinnipiac is a really good team once again. And trying to play from behind meant we were vulnerable to being pressed coming out of our zone. Goaltending was a little suspect tonight but we just got unzipped for most of those goals. In a lot of ways it was a better performance than last week against Harvard. We have yet to find the golden balance between game control and fluidity. That comes with maturity.

0-2-1 against pairwise top 25
4-0-0 against pairwise bottom 25
Only surprising thing is that UMD is bottom 25.
Good news is that Princeton is bottom 25 too.

It was a goal and I swear there was sufficient video evidence. The puck is invisible along the entire path of the defender's arm motion until it suddenly reappears after his glove releases, so either he swept the puck out or it briefly occupied hyperspace.

That triple deke Jayden Lee* goal changed everything. We had Q sweating and it was such a crushing disappointment 30 seconds before the end of the second period.

* One of the best skaters I've seen in a long time.
