Says Military Appreciation night. Are we getting camo jerseys tonight or just a salute to a guy who served in Korea and has voted against every winning Ithaca mayoral candidate in the last 25 elections?

Season ticket holders were encouraged to "return" tickets that we would not be using and Cornell would then distribute these tickets to campus veterans.

I will come to a time in my backwards trip when November eleventh, accidentally my birthday, was a sacred day called Armistice Day. When I was a boy, and when Dwayne Hoover was a boy, all the people of all the nations which had fought in the First World War were silent during the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of Armistice Day, which was the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

It was during that minute in nineteen hundred and eighteen, that millions upon millions of human beings stopped butchering one another. I have talked to old men who were on battlefields during that minute. They have told me in one way or another that the sudden silence was the Voice of God. So we still have among us some men who can remember when God spoke clearly to mankind.

Armistice Day has become Veterans' Day. Armistice Day was sacred. Veterans' Day is not. So I will throw Veterans' Day over my shoulder. Armistice Day I will keep. I don't want to throw away any sacred things. -- Kurt Vonnnegut

One of the announcers commented on how many people [students and townies] are at the game and how great it is to see the support. Since I see some empty seats, I am guessing attendance at the last home weekend wasn't great.

I now live in Denver so I have to rely on what the camera shows but I was in Lynah for almost every home game until 2018. My comment was merely a reaction to the announcer's characterization of the attendance, not a judgement. People show up late. Now in the second period, most of those empty seats are gone.

Second Dartmouth goal came after what seemed like five minutes in our end interrupted only by an occasional icing. At least they followed up the goal by immediately taking a stupid penalty. Haven't evened it up yet but a ton of pressure.

It's clear as day on the broadcast that there were a relative ton of empty seats two weeks ago. They are not empty tonight. Can't see A but everything else looks 95% or more tonight, which is great to see.

Cornell better thru center ice and creating chances.. Dart is good if they get the puck control at protecting it..

We have had 5-6 pretty empty net looks and made 1. the 2 on 0 would have helped.

A bigger goalie like that is always going to be susceptible at the five hole. No surprise both goals were low.

And given the appearance of the league this year, I could see Dartmouth being in the running for a bye if things go their way. They don't play in Hanover again for a while (tonight was the first of seven consecutive away games), but they should at least be hosting a round in the playoffs

A bit loose with the puck in their own end led to some close calls.. Dart is solid with the puck when they cycle.

At some point those odd man rushes need to pay off for Cornell.

We were due for some bad luck but wow, how do we not score on any of those odd-man rushes, including the 2x0? We didn’t come remotely close to executing on any of them. Dartmouth actually looked solid, but Cornell should have scored at least four goals. Also unclear what happened on the first Dartmouth goal, which came on a run of the mill slapshot from the blue line off a faceoff. Shane was slow to react or possibly just missed it. I didn’t see any Dartmouth players near the crease to block his line of sight. Shane honestly just didn’t seem locked in by the time the puck dropped.

3 ECAC teams remain without a conference regulation loss: Cornell, Q, and Dartmouth.

Schafer made the point in the post-game that the fans had their butts in the seats right from the beginning, and how much that helps.

I hope words can be gotten out to the students (and townies) that the emotional advantage of Lynah Rink is real, and it starts -- or can start -- right in the pre-game skate. Our crowd, at its best, can beat a team before the opening faceoff.
