I have been the donor and recepient of tapes (and hopefully DVD's) from many Lynah Faithful. I know that I would not take any money from those I gave out, neither would others take my money.
I would propose that each of us who receive one or another copy from one of us, then donate $5, or what you can afford, to the hockey program. After all, without the program we would not have any need to request these from each other.
I have contacted Sue Detzer at the hockey office and she assures me that this can go into a special hockey only fund. Please send any donations to her at:
I know we have all been pissed at the way the AD started this year, but this, I believe, is a good way to say thanks to the program and to those of us who put time and effort into retaping for our friends.
I would also ask those who agree, to copy this post and send it along with any tapes or DVDs that you send to others.
Thanks.

Jim:
Amen! Great suggestion. I have made a plea for the Faithful to continue or resume their donations (restricted) to the hockey program, regardless how one felt about the AD's decision vis-a-vis online broadcast. We don't need to rehash the pros and cons here, but one thing for sure, our gifts to the hockey team will help Mike Schafer and the boys. Much of my giving to Athletics has been directed to hockey (though I do support one other sport at CU), and I think your idea, in essence, reinforces what I have said earlier.
In anticipation of becoming a recipient of some discs (hello, Darren), I shall follow your lead and direct part of my next gift to that special fund.
Tom

As long as we are on this subject could someone please recap the need for donations for the recruiting trips. It was mentioned in a thread this year and likely will be the reason that I make a restricted gift.
