Cole just needs to have an ok season, and then the Flyers will sign him long term.

In off-ice news, Ben Scrivens is prominently featured, along with some other celebrities, in an ad campaign to raise awareness of mental health issues. The photo you see at the website was also a full-page ad in last week's Sports Illustrated. This is the PSA which features Scrivens.

Same here (pens fan, but same principle). If I were picking a team of favorites that I've seen from Cornell (about the last decade or so), Cole'd be on one of the top lines.

What is an ATO (not "what does it stand for" - I can read) in the context of having signed an entry-level contract with the Flyers?

I believe an ATO is a way to let him play for the Phantoms for the remainder of the year without burning the first year of his entry-level contract. So ATO+contract really means a 2.2 year contract.

With Edmonton picking up Cam Talbot today for draft picks, Ben Scrivens is facing likely diminshed playing time with the Oilers, assuming no further deals.

Those numbers never made the flight to Edmonton with Scrivens, and that is exactly why Chiarelli found himself in the goalie market at this draft.

And yet there were a few nights when Ben singlehandedly won games. See "The Game"!

Can't believe anyone believes it's a goaltending issue versus team defense. Dubnyk seems to be a good goalie once he left Edmonton? Fasth and Scrivens are both decent.

It's not just an issue with defensemen, either. They need more forwards who give a 200 foot effort every shift. Maybe Peter and Todd can show them some Youtube clips of Hossa, Toews, Bergeron, Datsyuk, etc.
