The guy on the end of the phone was clueless. Couldn't even tell me where my seats might be.

i recall someone saying a while back that cornell is guaranteed 400 tickets to the ncaas, sold directly to the students. last year they did the same for worcester, and we didn't have any problem getting student seats. has it been confirmed yet that the box office is selling these tomorrow morning, or what?

Does anyone know if tickets will be available through the Cornell ticket office? If so when will they go on sale?

I'm sure they will be. When is the question, and I guarantee plenty of people are searching for answers.

nope. I talked to the ticket office last week, and the deal is...
Tickets go on sale on TUESDAY morning thru the CU ticket office.
As of now, CU gets 200 tickets, how many that dont go to alumni and booster, who the heck knows. They think they might be able to get more tickets sent to them when these sell out. I also called the PC ticket office a week ago, and they said there havent been many tickets sold (like 2000 out of 15000 or so). But now that the brackets are filled, who knows.
I have my tickets to Worcester already now, since they scheduled it so that we could see both regionals. If anyone has different first hand info, lmk... LETS GO RED

Englewood is a few miles east of Hackensack, conveniently located near both the garden state parkway and I-95.

are we SURE that tickets go on sale tuesday, not monday? i could have sworn it was the monday after selection last year. tuesday's understandable, i mean the tickets need to physically get here from wherever, with only a night's notice. i just don't want to wake up tomorrow and hear that surprise, they went on sale monday. (i'd also like to avoid waiting monday morning and find out they don't have em).

anyone with more info? i'd appreciate it.

david,

thanks alot. seeya tuesday! what time are people thinking of showing up? the ticket office has never waited until 10 to officially start selling. i was in line for albany tix at 9AM, and there were ~70 people in front of us, about half of them students. it's bizarre that tickets are on sale at noon, when I assume most people have morning classes.

any ideas? honesty's appreciated

I just went down to Providence to get my tickets (wanted to pick my seat rather than go pot-luck). For a big time NCAA event the logistics are definitely high schoolish.

First, you can't get tickets at the Dunkin Donuts center. Nor can you get them through Ticketmaster (at least not online).

Buying tickets in person means finding the PC ticket office on the second floor of Alumni Hall (which you have to get to through the warrens of an attached athletic center).

At the ticket office are three people answering phones and scribbling down orders on xeroxed pages that seem to get stacked where-ever around the office. If you're buying a ticket in person there's a grand total of 1 person there who's actually selling them. That's because there's only one computer online with the database and hooked to a ticket printer. I guess the xeroxed orders will go to her eventually.

Everyone there is very nice and trying to be helpfull.

But it's not the efficient, volume oriented operation of the type you'd expect for an event like this. Very odd.:-P

Just wanted to bump this thread. The CU box office will not take phone calls. You have to call the Providence College box office or find a friend to stand in line for you. These 12 Noon starting times (12 noon Tuesday, 12 Noon Saturday, 12 Noon Sunday) are a bit awkward but do allow students and alums to see both days and not miss work or classes except for those standing in line.

The Cornell Club of Boston and the RI Cornell Club are in discussions as to what Cornell events will take place Saturday and where. Please stay tuned.

My mom and dad want tickets to just the Cornell game - does anyone know of anyone who would for some ungodly reason NOT want their ticket to the Cornell-MSU game out of the 3-game package??

Or does anyone know any other way to buy tickets to just that game?

Any help would be appreciated!

Seems to me if you are looking for an unwanted CU-MSU ticket, the BC camp is place to go fishing.

As far as I know, tickets are not sold separately. You have one ticket for BOTH games Saturday and one ticket for the one game Sunday. There is nothing to split for the Saturday games. Same as in Albany. One ticket for both games.

As of today, you can't even buy tickets for just one day. The PC box office is only selling a two day package for the absurd total of $84.

Just got back from the CU ticket office. Apparently they were only selling 226,227, and 228, no lower sections, and 228 got 75% sold out before the line even was started... whats up with that?

I am in 227. Are these decent seats? It is upper deck corner, so I would guess no, but I have never been to this arena. Does anyone know how the view will be from here?

For what it's worth, we sat in the upper deck corner last year at Worcester with Blues' scout Rickie Meagher and a couple of his colleagues, and he said it was the best spot to watch the game.

After hearing about the "4B" the team wears on their practice gear, having that as a sign would be a very cool sign of motivation to have up.

Also, I think "Off we're gonna shuffle...shuffle off to Buffalo" or some variation would be great to see in the event of wins. The way I phrased it is from the musical "42nd Street".

After not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling just leaving my name and credit card info Sunday night, I called the Providence ticket office to make sure I got a seat. I'm in Sec 118, Row B, Seat 9. Right next to the CU section (119). So I guess the clueless person I spoke to Sunday night came through.

(A little close to the glass, but I can always move if I don't like it.)

LGR!!!

119 Row B is NOT close to the glass - its actually the top half of the 119 section. THe AA through HH,RR,ZZ or whatever are below the single letter seats - I confirmed this at the box office on Sunday when I went down there - I'm in that section too..

Also - what was the reference to 4B on the practice jerseys? anyone got an explanation?

Maybe we could make one that said "Next Stop Buffalo" like the one the Dartmouth fans had up in Albany for about the first period and a half of their semifinal game. :-D

Checked on my tickets again, they are 118 E 5-6. I asked how the rows were lettered, and was told (don't know how accurate this is) that they start with DD and go to LL, then start over with A. She then added, "so E is about 15 rows up," which is almost in agreement with the lettering system she gave me, so I presume it's close to accurate.

CU sections are 119, 227, & 228. The band is in 115. This according to a site that I got a few days ago. Unfortunately I don't have the address and can't find it now. However this site [www.geocities.com] has the seating for b'ball as well as pictures of the court from each section, so you can get some idea of your viewing angle.

I called the Providence ticket office last night to see if I could find out where they seated me. I asked for "near the Cornell section" and got section 118. Looks like sections 116-119 will be the "Red Corner".
