I haven't received mine yet either but if I recall correctly I didn't get mine last year (or maybe the year before) until about a week or ten days before the first game.

Just got an email from the Athletics Ticket Office that they've received the tickets and aim to get them all in the mail by this Friday, asking that we allow 8-10 days from now for their arrival.

Hmmm,...now if we were as late getting our money in as they are getting the tickets out.....??
Just a thought.

As long as you get your tickets before the first game, isn't that all that really matters?

Does anyone else remember the "good old days" when they used to just send your tickets to you when they received your payment. Rather than waiting to the last minute. I suppose someone will say this is improved efficiency. I say it just makes a large task out of something that formerly was not.
I suspect this all morphed from somebody's poor planning and now is considered the norm....

I'd guess they wait until the last minute to get the tickets printed so that as many last minute time changes (for TV or whatever else) can be reflected on the tickets and minimize confusion later.

I have to say, I'm still a little confused by people's use of "last minute" and "late." I've been getting season tickets for twenty-six years, and other than when I was a student, or when I was living in town and could pick them up in person, I don't remember ever getting my tickets several weeks in advance. The first game for which you need a ticket is still more than two weeks away. The 8-10 days they suggested you might have to wait from Oct. 7 still leaves at least a week from receipt until the first exhibition game. Are any of you really having palpitations or shortness of breath, envisioning that you'll be outside of Lynah on October 24, banging on the doors and screaming to no avail because of administrative delays?

Mine today, and I'll one up Beeeej. Except for one year in Boston and two in Ann Arbor, I've had season tickets every year since 1966. Guess what? I've never gotten my tickets late. So lighten up everybody.

Maybe it's not the getting tickets late part, it's the pay early part??
I know we all need to do our best to support CU's finances. Bill Gates can't do it all.
But I'd like to get the $1.50 interest on my money as much as anybody!!
I would also like to add that our family has had season tickets since we had to sit on specific rocks along Beebe Lake.
Just sayin'.

This sure is getting convoluted. They're selling general admission season tickets to students first-come-first-served in Section E, having sold out section D. But reserved seats for A, B, and C go in a lottery later in the month.

I like it. We've been talking about GA seats, and it sounds like a reasonable way to get new people involved. That way if a new student stops coming, the rest of the fans will be together.

The Line had a different implication in 1907, but the story sounds familiar. I stumbled on this "Cornell Sun" article while looking for something else.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 1907. TICKET LINE THREE DAYS AHEAD —SPECULATION STARTING.

Season tickets for those whose names begin with W (and I assume X, Y, and Z) were supposed to be mailed out on Friday, but "didn't get picked up" and only were mailed today (Tuesday).
