While the wonderful ECAC website is currently down, the YES Network schedule lists Saturday's ECAC TV game as being RPI @ Cornell, Live at 7 pm EST. I would expect the same for NESN.

Any chance of a hockeycam on Friday now that we are back at Lynah?

And as if for a Pavlovian dinner bell, the lines get repainted. Mmm. Day-old ice. If only they had 2 weeks to get that done...

I know Scores in San Mateo is showing the game Saturday, but if there are any other alums in the north bay who don't want to drive down there (70 miles from my place!), I'm buying the sports package on my satellite from now until after the Frozen Four. Anyone is welcome to come watch!

I can't find the edit post option....I think everyone knows, but I wanted to specify that I'm talking about the San Francisco area.

For anyone not on the mid atlantic mailling list...
Come and Watch Cornell Hockey on TV on Saturday
at Capitol Hilton in Washington, DC.
Date: Saturday, March 15, 2003
Time: 7:00 P.M.
Location: Fran O'Brien's Steak House and Sports Bar
at the Capital Hilton Hotel, 1001 16th Street NW (corner of K Street) in Washington.
Contact / RSVP: David Lytel @ david@lytel.com
If you have not yet heard, the Cornell men's hockey team is among the best in the nation this year and has its best chance in 30 years to win a national title. One of the quarterfinal games to be played this weekend in Ithaca will be televised and you are invited to join us to watch it on television. Top-seed Cornell will take on 8th seed RPI. As many of the "Lynah faithful" as can be found will be gathered on Saturday March 15th at Fran O'Brien's Steak House and Sports Bar at the Capital Hilton Hotel, 1001 16th Street NW (corner of K Street) in Washington.
The game begins at 7:00 PM. If you are unable to join us, the New England Sports Network (NESN), which is available on DirecTV, will be broadcasting the game. The Saturday game is the 2nd of a best of three series. The first game is Friday night but apparently will not be televised. If Cornell wins, join us for the ECAC semifinals and finals which will be broadcast the following weekend. If we get a good group together, we'll keep meeting to watch as Cornell moves to the NCAA finals in April.
Everyone is welcome even if you do not RSVP, but I'd like to be able to tell our gracious hosts how many of us to expect. If there are enough of us we'll have a big screen TV and a room to ourselves, so please let me know if you plan to attend. Hope to see you on Saturday!

The ECAC finally got back to Athletics today. They'll permit us to netcast Friday, but not Saturday because of the TV coverage, and again Sunday if there's a third game.
Since this is not a Cornell athletic event, but an ECAC tournament event, they're the ones who get to make the decision. Of course, we made it clear that no one who could watch the telecast would be silly enough to watch the netcast instead, but no go.
Anyway, yes, the Saturday game will be on YES and NESN. It will be on lots of cable systems, and is available on DISH Network and DirecTV.

Even though I will be at the game Friday (and Sunday if necessary) and will have no need for the hockeycam, it's nice to know it will be back, if ever so briefly, to help fans who otherwise won't be able to watch the game. Kudos to all helping to make it happen.

Please post the link/URL where we can access the netcast this afternoon (from the Left Coast, it will still be daylight).

When it doesn't work, you can pay $7 to listen to the netcast and watch this to amuse yourself:
