Anyone know a sports bar in Washington DC where we can watch the game on Friday night? I assume there will be several people that read this forum that will be at the alumni/class officer meetings this weekend. Anyone interested in getting a group together?

Or how about Wichita, KS? I'll definitely be out somewhere watching it.

Of course, a harder quest here would be, "Can you find a bar which would NOT have the capability to show this game?"

In past years when a game was webcast, Cornell took over a ballroom at the Marriott Wardman Park and brought in a couple projectors when a game was webcast on a Saturday night. This year, the CALC (Cornell alumni leaders) schedule doesn't show anything. I sent Cornell a note asking what plans they have. Friday night is set aside for informal class receptions and dinners with friends. I'm trying to recall how sports-bar-ish the hotel bars are, whether they have TVs or big TVs. I'd set something up informally (I'm bringing a projector for a class meeting) but I'm offsite at a reception. There are meeting rooms set up with projectors for Friday-Saturday presentations. Let's see if there's interest in Cornell's part and if the Big Red lumbering bear can make something happen over a day and a half.

[edit add:] I'll scope out the hotel bars when I get there Friday morning and report back on whether it would be a good place to drop by and game-watch there. And / or if Cornell makes any quick plans to support Cornell hockey in the presence of 800 alumni leaders and hangers-on, some of whom are young enough to have attended Cornell once ice hockey moved from Beebe Lake to Lynah. Me, just barely.

I know this isn't the game that you are asking about, and I doubt that I will go because I can watch at home, but I received an email from the DC RPI Alumni Ass'n that the 2/3/12 RPI-Cornell game will be shown at the Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington, VA. It's joint with the Cornell Alumni Ass'n.

Just checked at the hotel bar at the Marriott - they will be able to show the game tonight for any of you at the alumni meetings.

If I actually paid attention to the internet, I would've told you to come over to my house if there were no official gatherings.
