I realize that the polls are meaningless, but I was glad to see we finally moved ahead of Yale, especially since we beat them in New Haven, 6-2, and none of our losses are as bad as Yale's 7-6 loss to an 0-11 Sacred Heart team.

Why the love for Union? 25th in KRACH and 22nd in PWR, yet 9th and 10th in the polls. Nice win at Ann Arbor but not much else, and Michigan isn't even top 20.

No, Colgate should be the first ECAC team, followed by us. In retrospect the U of M win was not really anything.

I didn't want to create a separate thread, but Yale just lost to UMass and fell off the PWR grid. Bad news for us...

Consolation is we do play UMass, on the off chance both teams are headed for TUC.

Regardless of how much Yale is sucking this year, we shouldn't have to depend upon their success -- or lack of it -- to make it to the NCAAs. If we continue to play as well in the ECAC as we have so far, and can finish first or second and make it to the title game in wonderful Atlantic City, we will still be in the NCAAs.

But we should be able to rely on Hockey East officials getting the call correct in a very important non-conference game that would have boosted our PWR considerably.
