2-0 end of the first. Total control, as usual. Goals from Jenner and Saulnier (again, and shorthanded), Cornell will have a power play to start the second.

Shots: 17-3

5-1 Red end of 2. Could easily be 10-1 but for the SU goalie -- it's like a shooting gallery. Johnson is an amazing talent.

9-2 Final. It got extremely chippy in the last five minutes, and Saulnier laid out Syracuse's Knerr after she put a nasty hit onto Young with just over a minute left.

Shots: 59-10

Next up: Dartmouth & Harvard -- without 4/5ths of the top line and Coach Derraugh. Saulnier is going to have to put the team on her back.

That's not fair to the rest of the team. Jillian is an amazing player but we get plenty of scoring from the second line and the third line can hold its own. Everyone will need to step it up on defense, however, since we don't skate 7 defensemen and will be very thin with the top pair gone.

Thanks for the updates. This team is putting up some ridiculously great numbers.

Is Cook seeing anytime? How about the transfer from Vermont? Haven't seen them on the stats sheets. We'll need them to provide depth and when some of the players are on national duty.

Not sure why Barley-Maloney was out the first couple of games but she played tonight. She saw so regular shifts. Cook was injured before last weekend. I don't think she's expected to be out long.

That wasn't meant as a slight on the Campbell-Karps-White line, but the top line has been scoring a ton of goals (18, including tonight). It's going to be a hell of a struggle for us to get points out of those two games, though, because of how small our squad is. One important positive that I've noticed -- Campbell seems two or three steps faster than last season.

Paulson and Cook didn't play tonight -- Paulson hasn't played yet this season, and Cook has just one appearance (against Brown? I think?). We need both of them back by next weekend, particularly Paulson so that we can have at least two defensive pairings. Barley-Maloney saw her first minutes tonight...I didn't see enough to form an opinion.

I don't think Cook has played since the opener, but Barley-Maloney played for the first time tonight. Hard to tell too much from the RedCast video, but she seems like a solid player. I don't think Paulson has played yet this year.

As for next weekend, Harvard also will be without its coach and several players, who are on the U.S. roster for the 4 Nations. When both teams are at full strength in January, it could be quite a game.

One other note: with the win, Mazzotta moved into a tie with Alanna Hayes '99 for second on the all-time wins list. She is six behind Sarah Mott '82, who holds the record with 47.
