I sure hope the kid's ok, but this USCHO article is certainly not something that will be featured in North Dakota's recruiting pitch.

Indeed, most posters figure the path to frostbite goes through alcohol. Such as Chris M: "yeah frost bite from "walking around campus" ...wonder how smashed he was!" Tough crowd. No respect.Jim Hyla

Well, it is hard to believe that a student was just walking around campus and got frostbite. Thousands of others did the same without problems. Now there might be a logical explanation, but without one people on a website are going to speculate, and alcohol is a reasonable reason.billhoward

I know someone who got frostbite walking around Collegetown. She wasn't wearing shoes. She didn't notice at the time. She did when the alcohol wore off.
