Assuming each of the 8 outcomes is equally likely today (which of course they aren't, but hey...), Cornell's likelihood of opponent is:

SRQ: Quinnipiac
SRD: Harvard

SBQ: Harvard
SBD: Dartmouth
CRQ: Harvard
CRD: Dartmouth
CBQ: Brown
CBD: Brown

.125 Quinnipiac
.250 Brown
.250 Dartmouth

.375 Harvard

Awesome, RPI's spotlight intro has the same music as the Alaska Space Bear.

And the SLU fans are whining about the officials. The things that endure are what are comforting in life.

Personally, I'd rather not have fish in the playoffs. There's too much at stake, and there's always some dude who throws it at the wrong time. I can't imagine they're going to allow any stupidity. All we need is a delay of game penalty giving them the game winning PP.

Agreed. Fish and Fowl is the RS game.

But there will be plenty of fish, whatever we think.

RPI misses the ECACs for all 8 years it was in Albany. (Union has obviously missed the first 7, with one more chance.)

For anyone unaware, the Cornell women beat Clarkson in overtime tonight to win their first ECAC championship. cheer cheer cheer

Thanks for the lead. I don't follow the women's game, but looking at the box scores of both SF and F gave me pause. In both instances Cornell gave up 3 unanswered goals late in the game: in the SF, that allowed RPI to cut Cornell's lead to one goal, and in the final, that allowed Clarkson to tie the game. In any case, much congrats to the women's team on making the NCAAs for the first time in history!

Since they don't have as many skaters as other teams, you wonder if some of that is fatigue.

I suspect some of it is. Kind of today's equivalent of Ned's NCAA champs at RPI that, according to Ned,"skated nine guys." Derraugh will have to manage their ice time carefully. Ned's goalie would have been plagued by a lot of "equipment problems" during the game.
