I thought I heard Arthur say Union 5 Dartmouth 4. ECAC still has it 4-2 Dartmouth in the 2nd.

Yeah, on USCHO they say Union came back from 4-0 down to win 5-4. Unbelievable

Broadcast team's stars:

3. Braden Birch
2. Colin Greening
1. Riley Nash

Good choices. Kennedy, Axell and Gallagher also played very well.

Princeton 3 at Clarkson 4
Yale 6 at Colgate 3
Rensselaer 5 at Harvard 4
Quinnipiac 5 at St. Lawrence 0
Union 5 at Dartmouth 4

Never know what'll happen in the good ole ECAC.

I don't think I'll stop being terrified before every Yale game until Backman, Arcobello, and Little graduate.

Beating Yale would be an exorcism of a hockey demon--certainly for Scrivens. It also might be our only way of getting to the tourney as an at-large.

That won't stop anything. That's a part of Allain's recruiting template...Andrew Miller's the new dog. Allain's a recruiting machine. Most ECAC schools are wrapping up 2010 and getting into 2011 -- Yale's got 3-7 guys lined up for 2012 already.

Crazy looking box score. Dartmouth scores 3 goals on their first 4 shots and chase Union's goalie after 6:07. Dartmouth sores its fourth goal a minute and 13 seconds later, then it's all Union. Union holds a 34-12 shot advantage over the last 2 periods and pots their 5 goals. Must have been a brutal 40 minutes at Thompson for the home fans.

Yes, Scrivens needs to win one against Yale this year, either now or in Albany ... preferably both.
At least one post behind Scrivens tonight, I thought I heard another; some last weekend, too, including two on Friday. So things are getting by him lately which does not bode well.
The PWRs tonight have CU increasing, but it may change once WCHA games are entered. So CU might make the NCAAs losing only two more games this year, but they need to beat either Yale or Union at home and neither will be easy to do I fear.

You're right, 2.

Overall, I had to be happy tonight, especially compared to the way we have been playing, and what happened to BB. The only real problem I saw was our PK. We just didn't have puck control with it. Casey mentioned it on the post-game and I expect we'll see that corrected. Maybe Riley's return sparked them, maybe the line changes helped?

It was one of the worst officiated that I've seen in a while. There was a Brown fan sitting behind me and at the beginning of the third he turned to a friend from CU and said "I like the officiating, for the same reason you hate it.". When they scored on their 5-3 he wouldn't stand and cheer, telling his wife(?) "We didn't deserve the first penalty.". What I hated the most was all the taunting they let go on. At the end of one period (second?) one of their players skated with one of ours as we tried to get off; all the time mouthing off to us. Real class. Most every penalty they had they complained and had to be escorted to the box. Their captain, Volpatti was classy in his 3 penalties. But he does have 20 min. more in penalties than anyone else on the team; as a forward that's not easy. He's a senior so I guess he hasn't adjusted to the new coach yet.

Well, tomorrow we should beat Yale; by the stats that is.
      GF GA Diff
CU 3.44 1.88 2.56
Uni 3.69 2.31 1.38
Yal 4.00 3.18 0.72
We need to be able to score against them, duh. They will get their goals, but their GA are terrible. I like the new lines, here's hoping.

Cornell moves up into a 3 way tie for 8th in the pairwise... Just ahead of a 4 way tie for 11th. Only 1 comparison separates 8th and 14th so our position is pretty precarious.

With the win, Cornell stays in front by percentage:

.588 RPI 9-6-2 20
-------------------
.559 SLU 8-6-3 19
.531 Col 8-7-1 17
.529 Qpc 9-8-0 18
.441 Hvd 6-8-3 15

First period was pretty good, the second two weren't as hot. We need to step it up a bit for tomorrow, but it's within reach.

Three goals given up last night to Brown and three to Clarkson two weeks ago are not good signs, even if the officiating was bad. Too bad Dartmouth couldn't have held on for a tie against Union and put them 1 point back of Cornell and Yale. We do have one more game to play in-league than Yale or Union.

I completely agree. There were a couple times where Brown got 3-4 whacks at the puck from point blank range. One bad bounce and it would have been a completely different game.
