Moulson scores one of the luckiest goals ever off not one, or two but three skates and into the net against the Lightning to tie the game 1-1

Watching Bruins v Canadiens, announcer made a comment about "two Cornell kids" fighting for the puck in the corner when O'Byrne and Bitz spent some time battling for position against the boards.

Evan Barlow has been called up to the AHL; Abbottsford, I believe.

Evan had an assist last night in his first game.redice
Evan Barlow has been called up to the AHL; Abbottsford, I believe.
He had 21 points in his last nine ECHL games, plus 4 more points (2 goals) in the ECHL All-Star Game where he was named MVP.
At Grand Rapids last year, I told an Ottawa scout he should be looking at Evan, and after glancing at the line-up sheet, he commented back about Evan being "small." I responded that Brian Gionta was small and that Ottawa wouldn't mind having Gionta - and that Evan was our Gionta. Perhaps at the AHL level, someone will start noticing him. He's certainly someone who has improved every single year.

I'm not linking them, but there's links on the ECAC website to 2 nice articles on Murray and others as Olympians.

It's been announced that the Sharks are opening next season with two games in Stockholm vs. Columbus. Douglas Murray gets to play before the home folks. Also opening abroad are Boston-Phoenix in Prague and Carolina-Minnesota in Helsinki.

Yeah, I know he's not an alum, but he's in the pros and from Ithaca. Here's an article from The Syracuse Post-Standard on Dustin Brown and going to the Olympics.

One of the bits cycling through NHL Network tonight is on this series of games. They interview the various Swedes and Finns on those teams on how they feel about playing in front of their home countries. One of them is Murray.

I'm posting here in anticipation of Riley Nash one day playing hockey for a professional team...
The Oilers will end their association with the Springfield, and move their farm system to Oklahoma City. Cornell alum Rick Olczyk (JD '96), current Oilers Assistant GM, is quoted in the article as well.

For what it's worth, Rick Olczyk played for Brown from 1988-92 and is Ed Olczyk's younger brother.amerks127

O'Byrne just made a nice play to knock the puck away from Simon Gagne on a breakaway. Gagne ended up in the net, but the puck didn't.
Unfortunately, on the Flyers 3rd goal, O'B deflected a shot from the point into his own net.
I think he was -1 on the night.

Sort of on topic: From the ECAC website Harkness to be enshrined in the Phantoms Hall of Fame. That's the AHL Phantoms.

Flyers - Habs game just started. Puck drops and so do the gloves: Ian LaPerriere and Ryan O'Byrne.
Not much of a fight though - a bunch of missed punches by both before Lappy gets O'B with a hard one and knocks him off his feet - and the refs step in.

Is there any chance at all, Matt Moulson has some eligibility left? We could use his goal scoring touch these days.
Matt just got goal #22 of the year. Isles up 2-1 over Ottawa (2nd period).

After Princeton and Yale, it kind of seems like we are on a bad skid, though, fortunately, not as bad as the one the Isles are experiencing.
I guess I should have clarified that I meant for that game, having a lead and then giving it away.

According to the IJ, David McKee is back in the news. He's seeking to have charges dismissed.
He's also signed with the Allen Americans, in the CHL, who are located right near his home town and are a Dallas Stars affiliate. He has yet to play a game.

Without opining on the charges one way or another, he's got a damn good attorney. Allen Stokke was recently in the news for winning an acquittal for a cop that pulled a stripper over on a flimsy pretext and made her jerk him off. I'd say allegedly but if you read enough about the case (including evidence that is inadmissable in court), it is pretty clear that he did it. If you know about that case you can be sure that we will soon hear what a slut the the complainant in McKee's case is. Rape trials are an ugly, ugly thing.saff678
