The ability of the Cornell fans to ruin an evening is always amazing.
Congratulations to the idiots (sections B, D, and E) who threw two dozen M&Ms on the ice along with half dozen tootsie rolls, and the snickers the bear throws into the crowd. This casued a delay in the start of the second period, discussion of a bench minor on Cornell, and the bear is no longer going to throw candy.
If you sit next to a whack-off who threw stuff on the ice punch them in the head next time you see them for acting like Colgate fans.
I wonder if people actually brought the candy for the sole purpose of throwing it on the ice during intermission? If so, get a life.
People enjoyed eating candy, it was free, why be an asshole and ruin it for so many fans?

Yes, I'm sure everyone in those sections threw something onto the ice

Ruin an evening? I don't know who threw them on to the ice, and it was stupid but it didn't ruin my evening...
Hope you all are partying and celebrating the great win! If not, turn on some Ludacris "Coming 2 America" (Greg, you know what I'm talking about) and it will turn your night around!

As he who supplies the candy,it's meant to throw from the ice and eat, not to give us a chance for a penalty or an injury. Unfortunately what happened was dumb and we may not get Snickers the rest of the year.
However, I can only take credit for bringing the Snickers, someone else had the foresight to bring the rest. Good work.
As an aside JDeafv did not say everyone in B, D, & E were idiots and threw something, just that's where it came from.
Too bad we may only be able to throw Snickers at away games. Well at least I suspect those who threw them back on the ice don't go to away games.

While I wouldn't say my night was ruined (I can't speak for the bear), I simply don't understand why you'd throw candy back on the ice. I mean, it's free candy, and if you don't want it, I'm sure somebody near you would... and it messes up the ice, and the team can get a penalty for it. I just don't see the appeal or the point.

Mr. Beer can be very convincing. You wouldn't believe the stuff he talked me into when I was at Cornell.
