Very good effort by Cornell so far.

So far, Princeton does not look as good as Yale. We should be able to handle them.

Cam MacIntyre's first game back. He didn't play against Colgate last night.

Very fast pace so far. Cornell is breaking out well. Kalemba looks vulnerable.

One of the best-played periods for Cornell, despite not scoring. Shots were 15-6, and Kalemba let two dribble past him, both happening to just slide wide.

I'm impressed by how well the Red are handling the Tigers, who are a very talented team.

Kary making a significant impact filling in for Scali on the checking line with Mugs and Nicholls (Kary and Punches appear to be transposed on the LiveStats lines).

We'll see whether we miss the Kennedys as much as last night, but so far all four lines are creating chances.

Another thing: remember how great Seminoff was as a freshman? That Jared seems to have re-emerged this weekend. I wonder whether he had long, nagging injuries that have finally healed. Anyway, the last few periods he's been a beast.

i think seminoff has been a defensive force for most of the year. remember schafer pairs him with b nash on the top pk unit, especially on lengthy 5-on-3s. he's really taken wearing the A to heart this year. of course, it'll be a cold day in hell before he scores again...

Kalemba could not outlast Gallagher and finally went down in a butterfly. Gallagher simply went around him.

Seminoff's second penalty in 4 minutes? what did he do this time?

Scrivens has been huge the last few minutes. As Jason just said, not a lot of shots against him, but a few real toughies

Cornell seems to be trying some new things offensively. Greening and R. Nash were on the ice as the last Princeton PP expired. Jillson joined when the teams went back to 5 x 5 and Cornell skated into the Princeton zone fairly aggressively.

Also, there were a few long (home run) passes during the period. Perhaps Mike is opening things up a little in response to tactics being used by Cornell's oponents recently.

2 things:

First about the game. Really like the way that we are playing, but we are giving up way too many good chances in close. Scrivens has played made a few really nice saves so far moving across his crease. Gotta fix that, but the rest of the game has been pretty good. Breakout seems a little better, we've gotten some good opportunities offensively and GAllagher connected on his. Just gotta tighten up the slot and stop allowing those one-timers in close.

Second. Anybody watching redcast, what is up with the scoreboard? First the Princeton shots are disappearing and coming back and then everything else fades out and then back in. Never seen it do that before.

REDcast showing a really bizarre effect on the scoreboard. Sets of lights just fade in and out. It must be a phase thing -- it isn't happening in reality. One of our engineers will explain it.

Bottom line (and it's been said before here): Any team is bound to crack when you are consistenly protecting 1 or 2 goal leads.

I actually thought we were more aggressive tonight in sending our D in deep, even when we had a late lead. We just were unable to get enough grade A chances, and it came back to bite us big time..

It looked like Seminoff (Brandon Thomas said it was Krueger) fell down as he skated backwards in front of Scrivens on the last Princeton rush. Then on trying to clear the puck, Greening put the puck on the stick of Fedun and he just shot it in. Scrivens had no time to react.

A strong effort for the team but a Very tough loss. I think Locke Jillson played his best game of the season.

They'll shake it off and take it to Dartmouth next week. Let's hope the team is much healthier.

Excellent summary of the final play. Princeton took advantage of the situation beautifully.

Did anyone else get motion sickness from the camera work during that game, or was it just me? The third especially it seemed like they were having trouble following the puck.

Coming home from dinner at a friend's, I saw only the last nine-plus minutes of the game. I'm not sure I saw a Cornell shot on goal during that time, and third period shots were 10-4 Princeton overall. The last two minutes Princeton played hungry and we looked disinterested.

Seminoff fell down in the Princeton end along the half wall on the last play. He was pinching in and was not back with Krueger when Fedun and Lohry skated into the Cornell end. All 3 forwards (Greening, Nash, Barlow) were also pressing in the Princeton end and were not well positioned for the transition. The Princeton rush was very fast. It looked like Cornell wanted to end the game before OT and was taking some risks.

Yes, it was Krueger who fell down in the Cornell end. Seminoff had fallen down a few seconds earlier in the Princeton end and was not able to get back on defense.
