Braden Birch taken in the 6th Rd. (179 overall) by Chicago
Sean Collins taken in the 7th Rd. (187 overall) by Columbus
Nice to have that recognition among some of the newcomers (also nice when they're not drafted too high -- helps reduce the threat of early departures )

Add Nick D'Agostino (2009 recruit) taken by Pittsburgh in Round 7 (210 overall).

For some historical perspective, the only entry drafts in which Cornell has had at least 3 picks within the first 210 are 1989 (6), 1990 (3), 2003 (4), and 2008 (3).
So this is arguably one of the top 4 drafts in Cornell history.

A post draft article about Sean Collins:
Well, you certainly can't ask for a better attitude than he expresses in the article. If he puts in the effort he says he has been and wants to, he should be a great addition.

Given that Sean is a SK native, and me discovering Corner Gas on cable only recently, I propose that the band play the opening theme of Corner Gas every time Sean scores a goal!

I could see that happening, although I wouldn't want it to crowd out Davey.
And the Pep Band might also want to think about expanding its repertoire to include the Tragically Hip:

I love Corner Gas.
It looks like a serious lack of ECAC players in the early rounds of the draft.
