Krantz almost gave RPI a lead. He was hanging out behind the net, having a cuppa a coffee, RPI forechecked hard and his "outlet pass" went in the slot. Scrivens with the save. phew.

At least 2 of Scriven's saves have been on wrap-around attempts.

After the scrum/pile-up in the crease, Sawada gets a 2 min unsportsman-like penalty. Definitely not very captain-like.

I was trying to figure out who the play-by-play man was, and then I realized it was the Devils former radio guy. He's misidentified half the Cornell roster, or so it seems.

Regarding the game, lethargic effort by Cornell so far. Ironically, some of our best efforts came on the penalty kill, but given RPI's ineptitude on the power play so far this season, it's the least we should expect.

That's a great point. I didn't think about that. At what point are they do blow it dead? With control or just after the first touch by the goaltender? He did appear to bobble the puck on its/his way into the net, but certainly touched it in front of the goal line.

it might also have helped had the ref been within 40 ft of the play to see what happened.. for sure the goal judge never saw it go in. as for whether he controlled it you couldnt tell but why the slow whistle? and had the RPI guy not jabbed him he doesnt fall sideways and probably no goal.. but the D fell asleep..

Thats what I thought, but they never showed a slow motion shot from the right angle to see it. There was also a glove that fell off so I couldn't tell if I was actually seeing the puck.

And, predictably, it's his first goal of the season.innocent

yes, though the replay didn't have a great shot of the degree of control.

I'm thinking that one's an injury. Patrick's looked good and Tyler's looked overmatched -- he needs time in the weight room.
