If you look at John's ECAC Bradley-Terry on TBRW, the tiering of the league at this point is quite evident:

I would say there are three tiers--high, mid, and low. Clarkson is alone at the top, there are a mess of teams in the middle, and then Brown, Dartmouth, Colgate, and Union are in a "league of their own." The two teams with split identities seem to be St. Lawrence and us: will St. Lawrence join the unworthies or challenge for home ice in the quarters? will we challenge Clarkson for the regular season?
Casually comparing these observations with the current KRACH:

I'm somewhat bullish on how well we've played so far in league. An early loss to Princeton looked bad, but look at them now. We've handled the other two teams close to us, Quinnipiac and Yale, reasonably well. Our only "bad loss" seems to have been to Harvard.
As often used to be the case, and as seems to be becoming the case again, our results against the North Country and on the Union-RPI roadtrip (always also dangerous) will go a long way towards defining who we are as a team. A 2-2 record over the next four is absolutely essential if we're looking for home ice in the quarters, a 3-1 record would indicate that we might challenge Clarkson, and a 4-0 would be abso-******* wonderful.

Hey, I'm an engineer. I'm not supposed to know how to count!
As the punchline to one of my favorite engineering jokes goes:
The engineer looked at the math problem (1 + 1 = ?) and said "2... no wait, better make it 3"

Continuing with the theme of such jokes and how many asterisks I used and why, my favorite engineering joke punchline is, "Well, eventually I'll be close enough for all practical purposes."

Or as we always said when working on any family work, "Close enough for who it's for.".

The punchline to my favorite math joke: "Y'know, if one more person goes into that house, it'll be empty again."
