It appears that tonights 0-0 tie with UMass was the first regular season scoreless tie in the history of Lynah Rink.

Cornell had played two (edit: scoreless ties) previously: the second game of the 1989 QF at Clarkson, and a 1923 Clarkson game on Beebe Lake.
On 12.30.67 they beat Toronto 1-0 at Lynah in overtime, and of course last year they lost the first game of the Quinnipiac QF 1-0 in overtime at Lynah.

As I've said before, that Clarkson game was one of the most exciting that I've ever seen. In those days, I believe the ECAC quarterfinals were the first team to 3 points. Since we had won the first night, a tie would give us the series. As the game went on, every rush up the ice was exciting. One of the more unusual sights was seeing Clarkson pull their goalie at the end of regulation of a tie game. There were no OTs, so clarkson had to win to get a third game.

That game wasn't at Lynah, but at a tournament in Buffalo. You've got it shown correctly at TBRW? as the Nichols School tournament.Trotsky
On 12.30.67 they beat Toronto 1-0 at Lynah in overtime...

Right. That game pitted the defending American and Canadian college champions for the North American title. No team from Mexico showed up.jkahnThat game wasn't at Lynah, but at a tournament in Buffalo. You've got it shown correctly at TBRW? as the Nichols School tournament.Trotsky
